2012 Race Poster - Signed

All things that are especially complete and entire are stamped with the number three. Similarly, the sum of all human ability is threefold - thought, word and deed. When I considered our five year Celebrate the Finish art work for 26.2 with Donna I knew it had to embody the spirit of the event and all its participants. The image of the three runners framed by our iconic running ribbons in a rainbow pattern set against the Jacksonville Beach pier seemed the simplest but most profound solution. The runners are loosely rendered as if their movement cannot be captured. The colors lean heavily toward pinks and reflect breast cancer awareness. I remain humbled by the opportunity to illustrate the spirit of 26.2 with Donna. -Kurtis Loftus
