Kurtis Loftus writes a blog and takes pictures and video each week of the Jacksonville Galloway Training Program training for the full and half marathon events. He produces a painting each week that he sells to raise money for the Donna Hicken Foundation.
We’re proud to tell you that Kurtis just received a Gold Medal award from the Advertising and Marketing Industry for the paintings he created on behalf of the Donna Hicken Foundation. He is also the artist of the Inaugural and 2009 Official Race Poster.

On Thursday, June 22, 2006 the Mayo Clinic and The Donna Hicken Foundation announced the inaugural run of the 26.2 with Donna: The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer, benefiting Mayo Clinic and women living with breast cancer. The weekend-long event, which will be held February 15-17, 2008 in Jacksonville Beach, will include a health expo, community celebration event, VIP event, marathon and half marathon. Hi everyone - It's been a while! Well, myself and two of my teammates, Jill and Kyrsten went to Jacksonville, FL for the Inaugural 26.2 with Donna The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer! We didn't actually do the 26.2- We did 13.1- the half-marathon.
Approximately 100 runners donated $1,325., on Saturday morning, to participate in the "Left Behind" half marathon. A special "thank you" to all the runners, the volunteers, the MarathonFest training program, Susan Paul and the Track Shack Foundation.
26.2 With Donna – Inaugural Rochester BlogThis Blog is for folks who are participating in, or volunteering for the 26.2 with Donna marathon or half-marathon to be held in Jacksonville, FL on 2/17/08, or the Lace Up Against Breast Cancer Half Marathon and 5K run to be held in Rochester on the same date. Anyone is welcome to post to the blog as long as it has some relevance to the Blog's theme.
