There Is No Finish Line, Special Screening of Joan Benoit Samuelson Documentary
    presented by Key Buick/GMC

“I’ve never dropped out of any race I’ve started.” These confident words begin an in-progress 45 minute documentary commissioned by Nike featuring the life and spirit of, Joan Benoit-Samuelson, the first woman to win the Olympic Gold Medal in the marathon. Her rise to fame paralleled the women's movement for recognition and validation in sports. This story portrays her determination to keep running despite barriers into her fifth decade of life. Joanie's relevancy remains today, not only as a pro athlete, but also as a great, yet modest, spirit and "accidental leader" of our time. Join Donna Deegan and Joan Benoit-Samuelson for a private screening of the film followed by an intimate Q&A with these extraordinary women. Donated by the filmmakers Erich Lyttle, Sarah Henderson and Geoff Hollister. www.thereisnofinishline.net.

    The Donna Foundation

"Brenda was incredibly positive, courageous, and never ever quit, got down, and never quit inspiring others. I am running to honor her, her great Doctors at Mayo Clinic, and to bring focus to terrible problem of ‘triple negative’ breast cancer which claimed my wife and the mother of our twins far too early in her beautiful life."
