Countdown to February 17, 2013:

New Start to a Great Finish

People running26.2 with Donna The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer is excited to announce plans to move the official race start of the 6th Annual 26.2 with Donna from Mayo Clinic to ATP Tour Blvd. in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. — home of the parking venues for THE PLAYERS Championship. The official race finish, and all of the famous runner amenities including Runners’ Village, will remain at Mayo Clinic.

The new start will necessitate a new course! The course will now guide runners and walkers through four beautiful beach communities on historic coastal A1A, over the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge (just once!) on Butler Blvd. to finish the race, and breast cancer, at Mayo Clinic.

The new course will be fully certified and a Boston Qualifier for 2014.

The breast cancer marathon course will be open for 7 hours, allowing for a 16-minute per mile marathon or 32-minute per mile half-marathon pace.

Water, fuel and aid stations will be positioned along the race course.

Athena

Water stations providing Athena, the Official Water of 26.2 with Donna, will be available approximately every mile. Odd mile water stations will provide Gatorade courtesy of Winn-Dixie.

GU Energy GelGU, our official fuel partner, will be available starting at mile 5, every 3 miles. Medical aid stations will be available every 3 miles.

Portable restrooms will be available at many locations all over the course. Never fear, restrooms are near. Green portolets that use non-toxic deodorizer and recycled toilet paper and hand sanitizer instead of paper towels.
