2010 26.2 with Donna fundraisers raise $250,000
You have the power to help finish breast cancer, and this year, you showed it! Fundraisers participating in the Third Annual 26.2 with Donna raised more than $250,000.
"Fundraising in our race is not a requirement. So, in a year which was economically challenging for everyone, the fact that runners chose to raise more than 200 thousand dollars is impressive,” said Donna Deegan, founder of 26.2 with Donna. “It just speaks to the commitment to our cause."
All proceeds from the 26.2 with Donna are split between two non-profits. Seventy percent goes to the Mayo Clinic for bench top breast cancer research, with the remaining thirty percent going to The Donna Foundation to help breast cancer patients with their critical financial needs as they undergo treatment.
On behalf of the entire 26.2 with Donna race team, we thank you for your commitment to raising funds for this important mission. We especially thank our top fundraisers who will each receive a VIP race experience in Jacksonville for the Fourth Annual 26.2 with Donna The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer to be held February 13, 2011.
Top Fundraiser: Elizabeth Hall
Top Galloway Fundraiser: Kimberly Fitzsimmons
We also thank Team Jacque and Team Graham Herd as our top fundraising teams raising more than $20,000 to finish breast cancer.
Our 2011 fundraising campaign will open May 1, and again we will honor top fundraisers with a VIP race experience in Jacksonville including travel and accommodations and a paid entry in the 2012 marathon, half marathon or relay.
Together we can FINISH IT.
