Mayo Clinic is the first multi-site practice in the United States to earn the Comprehensive Cancer Center designation from the National Cancer Institute. Mayo Clinic has breast centers at its Arizona, Florida and Minnesota campuses, each specializing in the detection and treatment of any breast problem. All sites offer expertise related to risk reduction strategies, counseling of individuals who are at increased risk of developing cancer, management of abnormal mammogram results, newly diagnosed or recurrent breast cancer and optimal follow-up strategies.

The Mayo Clinic Breast Center in Jacksonville, Florida combines comprehensive breast health services, leading-edge research studies and education to provide patients a highly personalized evaluation and treatment plan. This multidisciplinary approach assures that the combined knowledge and wisdom of many experienced specialists are available to provide patients with the latest breast cancer treatment and clinical trials.

The Mayo Clinic Breast Center is staffed by a diverse team of caregivers comprised of medical internists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, plastic surgeons and physician assistants who have a special interest in breast cancer. The team also includes a breast cancer program coordinator, breast cancer nurse educator, advanced registered nurse practitioner, dietitian, social worker, physical therapist, genetic counselor and clinical research coordinators.
